Wanted: More free couch cushions, please.

This is what I came home to a few days ago. That's Daphne's work. No, it's not seperation anxiety. I will write a more detailed Daphne post later.

Is that the couch you use or is it in a room just for the dog?

Years ago a roommate had a dog who would chew the door frames and tear down curtains when left alone for over an hour. We weren't roommates very long but I saw first hand what some dogs will do when left alone.

Oh dear, I don't know what to say.....the BCs used to be that way, but thank God they finally outgrew it. Plus we crate them while we milk.

Technobabe - it's the dog couch, not the people one, thankfully. Your roomie's dog had seperation anxiety...that isn't the case with Daphne. 'nother post coming up.

3C, I wish she'd outgrow it but she is at least six so it's unlikely at this point! I used to have to crate her for bad SA, but that was 4+ years ago. Thankfully she rarely does this sort of thing any more.

Hope she didn't swallow, all that foam could cause one hell of a blockage..........

Tabor - Daphne is Special. She is a stress mess in unfamiliar situations, she gets very anxious, goes into trances...I have tried to do obedience, agility etc with her but she can't handle it. I do stuff in the back yard and take the dogs for as many runs as I can. She's not wired correctly.

Junebugg - thank doG she never ever swallows LOL. Yes, it could. She'd be dead (or incredibly, incredibly expensive) by now.

Jenn, that ain't the half of it.....

holy shit..if i had read this post first i might not have said bless her heart.ha..
when my pittibull Nate was a puppy, I left him in house for about 25 minutes while I ran to the store...when I came back he had eaten all the sheet rock around the bath tub.. had to re do the entire bathroom wall...on my porch I have logs for porch posts..and each one is chewed down to almost a pencil post...once a friend of mine as a joke brought a tire over for him to play with ...he sat down and started to chew...when he finally was finished he had chewed the white wall right off the tire..a perfect circle..that became his new and favorite toy...he would wear it like a lei around his neck begging you to grab it so he could play tug of war
I got another tire and hung it from the pecan tree and it was really high...he would fly through the air grab that tire and twist and turn, and hang off the ground for 30 minutes or better..he was so goofy..dogs...gotta love them.
