(almost) HIT! (almost ) HIT!
My dog did so good at today's agility trial. We were beat out by about 5 seconds for high in trial (HIT.) This means the dog with the fastest time and highest points in a run. Not bad for a 100lb musclebound Rottweiler, running against lots of more agile, lighter dogs. Damn, wish we'd gotten it though....5 seconds faster....!
We still came home with a first place ribbon, a second place ribbon and 3 qualifying runs - including a clean run, meaning no points off for anything.
Did I mention I really love this dog?
That's a course map, from our last run of the day.

Thank you Margot my dear! Coop-man says woof Auntie Margot.
Mark was taking photos of most runs and I'll get some in about a week. He says he got some good ones of our smokin' fast clean run, done in almost half the course time. (31 seconds, time was 58. Damn I can't believe someone was faster. Damn border collies LOL.)
Hey, congrats on the trial!!!!
Did your contacts go ok? What method did you use?
Beseeching. :~)
Actually, I kept in mind your suggestion to turn my shoulders more towards him and stay upright. See, an old dog CAN learn new tricks! So, thank you.
I also practiced on the ramp off my back deck with targeting more.
Judge said he made the last contact "by one hairy toe" but that's all we need.
Now we need to work more on the swinging broad jump, I mean the swinging plank, haha.
Congrats!
I've been told by my friends that have show dogs that I should set up a table at the local shows but I would never get around to it thinking these people use groomers rather than do their own pet care... is that true?

Aidana, I have a friend who used to groom dogs for a living and she made a ton of money at shows! Mind you, she was a member of the local breed club (Beardies) so she knew lots of people.
I'm not really that involved with showing dogs in conformation, my idea of a bath is take them to the river and let them swim, and brushing is when I get around to it LOL.
But you offer all sorts of great pet products and services...I'd attend a big local show and see what's selling and who is buying what. I know there's plenty of money to be made if you have a good product.
Thanks Carina...
I just might have to do that...
The first groomer I worked with swore by my stuff & she had a prize winning boxer.
I may need to develop a catalog or something for show owner that DON'T let the groomer touch their dogs because they are to perfectionistic... I should target them.
Thanks for checking out my stuff... actually, I just started a series of posts that describes my all-natural flea shampoo & how/why it was developed...
I'd appretiate any comments you could offer on my pet blog or even my other two (below).
